Noemi Linden, BS

Noemi studies T cell immunology and cell-intrinsic barriers to HIV eradication, focusing on how proviral integration sites shield the virus from immune detection. She holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Jacobs University Bremen (Germany), having investigated MHC class I protein dynamics in Professor Sebastian Springer’s lab. Prior to joining Weill Cornell’s Immunology & Microbial Pathogenesis PhD Program in 2020, she conducted research at NYU, the CBMSO Madrid, and the University of Cambridge. Noemi is deeply grateful to PI Brad Jones, lab manager Sandra Terry, and her Jones Lab colleagues for fostering a collaborative environment that empowers her to lead the lab’s green certification and actively contribute to Weill Cornell’s sustainability initiatives.

Fun fact: When not fighting viral persistence in the lab, Noemi battles Central Park hills. Her secret weapon? Krav Maga—and running with friends or very loud music.
